A gastric balloon is a soft balloon placed in the stomach (without surgery) to help you feel fuller sooner. It's a temporary measure, usually removed after several months, used to kick-start weight loss alongside lifestyle change.
Is this treatment right for you?
Suitable for:those wanting a non-surgical, temporary aid who don't meet (or don't want) surgery.
Suitability can only be confirmed by a qualified clinician after assessing you, which is why every plan begins with a free, personalised review rather than a fixed promise.
Process & recovery
Placed via a short endoscopic procedure; nausea or cramping is common in the first days. The balloon is removed after a set period. Risks include nausea, discomfort, intolerance requiring early removal and, rarely, more serious complications.
This is general information, not a complete list of risks. Please read our medical disclaimer and discuss your individual circumstances with a clinician.
